One of the great names in Piemontese wine making, Cantine dei Marchesi di Barolo dates back as far as the
12th century, when the land-owning Falletti family of Piedmont’s Barolo district was granted titles of nobility.
Today the estate owns about 100 acres of vineyard in the Langhe, including some of the finest vineyards in the
district. TheMarchesi di Barolo cellars have been owned since 1929 by the Abbona family, who make their

black cherries. Full smooth taste. It goes especially well with salami and cold cuts, with pasta and first course

long and persistent, savoury and intense.

our soils under the Tuscan sun. For sooth body and elegance, the wine is aged in small oak barrels. We enthusiastically
recommend this wine with pasta, red meats and game of any kind.
(13.5% alc.) – 100% Sangiovese. At Pillo, Sangiovese expresses itself as a wine with a deep purple color, with cherries
and ripe fruit notes, balanced and medium body in the taste. Thanks to the big and smooth tannins, it is a wine of
long ageing potential.
Aromas of ripe golden apples, acacia, and honeysuckle are exhibited on the nose. On the palate, the wine is
dry, fresh and fruit-driven with citrus and stone-fruit flavors.
The color is bright ruby red with intense, complex, delicate, fruity with hints of cherry,morello, plum, violet
and slightly spicy. On the palate is dry, with pleasantly acid notes, well integrated tannins, sapid, balanced,
intense, persistent, elegant, with a fruity finish. Suggested with roasts, game and mature cheeses.
